After saying our goodbyes to Zia Connie and Zio Enzo we were off on another early morning 
adventure to Rome. Once off the bus we decided to save a few bucks and walk 1.5 km to our hotel which turned into a 3 km hike 
uphill in our wool winter jackets hauling our over stuffed packs and bags (no weight limit on the bus!). Twenty minutes later, we were pleased to enter the exotic garden outside of our room. We let our packs explode all over our room, got cleaned up and started venturing.
First stop - the Colosseum where we met many other tourists in the line up (peace!) Then to the ancient ruins. Amazing! We walked around some more, bought a 14€ hot chocolate (oops!) and made a few "detours" while heading back to the hotel. We got to have bathes (only showers at the school) and snuggled up to a movie.
